Effective date: August 5, 2026 · Version 1.1
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. Related technologies such as browser local storage work similarly. This policy explains which cookies and storage TalkOmni uses on talkomni.com and why.
2. Our approach
We keep the website light. Strictly necessary cookies always run, because without them you cannot sign in. Everything else, including advertising and measurement, runs only after you accept non-essential cookies in the banner. You can reject them, and you can change your mind at any time by clearing the consent cookie in your browser.
3. Strictly necessary and preference cookies
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| auth_token | Keeps you signed in to the dashboard (HTTP-only) | 12 hours | Strictly necessary |
| refresh_token | Renews your session securely (HTTP-only) | 30 days | Strictly necessary |
| talkomni_cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie choice so we stop asking | 365 days | Strictly necessary |
| TALKOMNI_USER_LOCALE | Remembers your language choice (TR/EN) | Persistent | Preference |
We also use browser local storage for interface preferences such as the light/dark theme of the dashboard, and, inside the embeddable chat widget, a conversation identifier so your chat can continue where it left off. These values stay in your browser and are not used to track you across sites.
4. Advertising and measurement (consent required)
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Meta pixel (_fbp and related identifiers set by Meta) | Measures the performance of our advertising campaigns and lets us reach people who visited talkomni.com | Up to 90 days, per Meta's own settings | Advertising / measurement |
The Meta pixel loads only if you choose "Accept All". If you reject non-essential cookies, the pixel script is never loaded and no identifier is sent to Meta. Under some United States privacy laws this activity may be treated as "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising; rejecting non-essential cookies stops it.
This applies to our marketing website only. It is never applied to a Customer's workspace, conversations, calls or documents.
5. Third-party services
Some flows involve third parties that may set their own cookies under their own policies:
- Stripe: when you open the checkout or billing portal (hosted by Stripe), Stripe sets cookies required for secure payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Cloudflare Turnstile: protects public forms and the chat widget from bots; it may use cookies or similar identifiers strictly for that verification.
- Google reCAPTCHA: protects sign-up, login and account recovery from automated abuse. The reCAPTCHA script is loaded across the website so that it can score a session before those flows are used, and it may set cookies as part of that verification. This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.
6. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking the strictly necessary cookies listed above will prevent signing in to the dashboard. Language and theme preferences reset when their storage is cleared. Deleting the talkomni_cookie_consent cookie brings the banner back so you can make a new choice.
7. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service evolves; the version and effective date above are updated accordingly. Questions: support@talkomni.com.
